Role Overview
The Networks Engineer – Wi-Fi Technology is a dedicated wireless specialist responsible for resolving wireless access issues across THE CLIENT's estate, including the operational technology (OT) network environments within manufacturing plants and warehouses.
The role is focused on access point health, service restoration and wireless coverage quality.
One position is being established in Mexico.
Key Responsibilities:
Dedicated responsibility for handling wireless access issues across the THE CLIENT estate.
Handling network latching issues for wireless access points.
Handling issues emerging in OT network devices relating to access, signal strength, dark spots and dropped connections.
Access point health monitoring, restart and service restoration.
Supporting the ongoing project to swap Cisco access points for Juniper access points, expected to complete by end of 2026.
Environment & Engagement Context
Juniper MIST is the go-forward wireless standard. The estate is currently mixed, with Cisco Meraki and Cisco Aironet access points still in place pending the refresh.
