We are seeking a highly motivated Commodity Specialist - NPI to support sourcing and supplier strategy for new product introductions. This role will be responsible for ensuring material availability, supplier readiness, and cost competitiveness during product launches.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing activities for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery performance
- Develop and execute commodity sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and long-term agreements with suppliers
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Operations to support product launches
- Ensure supplier readiness, capacity, and compliance for new programs
- Drive cost reduction initiatives (PPV, VA/VE)
- Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions when needed
- Support risk mitigation and ensure supply continuity

Experiência y requisitos

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering,



Supply Chain, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing / Procurement:
- Experience in manufacturing environments (preferred: aerospace, medical, or industrial):
- Strong knowledge of supplier negotiation and cost analysis:
- Experience supporting NPI or product launches:
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.)
- Advanced Excel skills

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing commodities (metals, plastics, electronics, or similar):
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma methodologies
- APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) is a plus
