Discovery Specialist - Family Law (On-Site | Guadalajara, Mexico)

The Discovery Specialist plays a crucial role in the pre-trial phase of family law cases, ensuring that all required financial disclosures and legal documentation are accurately collected, organized, and communicated to clients.

This is an on-site position located in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.

This role is adecuado for professionals with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a high level of spoken and written English, as daily communication with U.S.based attorneys and clients is required.

Key Responsibilities1. Client Introduction & Education
- Serve as the primary Discovery Specialist for assigned family law cases.
- Educate clients on the family law discovery process, emphasizing the importance of accurate and timely financial disclosures.
- Explain mandatory deadlines, including the 45-day financial disclosure requirement after service.





2. Initial Discovery Meeting
- Conduct in-person or virtual discovery meetings with clients.
- Identify the type of family law case and specific client needs.
- Review documents thoroughly with clients, using printed copies when necessary.
- Clearly outline all required financial documents and information.

3. Financial Document Collection & Organization
- Collect, review, and organize:
- Financial Affidavit (FA)
- Child Custody & Maintenance Documents (CCMD)
- Supporting financial documentation
- Ensure all information is complete, accurate, and properly documented.

4. Follow-Up Discovery Meetings
- Schedule and conduct follow-up meetings (10-20 minutes).
- Review missing or incomplete documentation.
- Update:
- Financial Affidavit (FA)
- Child Custody & Maintenance Document (CCMD)

5. Client Communication & Case Coordination
- Maintain clear, professional, and consistent communicati
