Job Description Summary: This position is for a lead engineer within the Integrated Manufacturing Engineering (IME) organization. In this role you will own all engineering functions related to the production of rotating parts and compressor airfoils made by GE shops and external suppliers.

In this role, you will be on the front lines of an organization that is dedicated to improving the delivery and producibility, enhancing the Engineering-Supply chain relationship to improve the health of the supply chain and product to enable the business to fullfil our customers' expectations.

Examples of specific tasks you will be responsible for are: producibility design changes, on-going manufacturing support, and strategic improvements on production related processes of the assigned hardware.

Essential Responsibilities
- Coach and mentor others in the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects, using engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
- Lead the solution of complex technical problems,



monitoring their progress and quality and ensuring schedule requirements are met.
- Monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments.
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of engineering & manufacturing, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute on technically complex projects to meet technical requirements and business goals with mínimal technical oversight.
- Use engineering judgement and experience to challenge entrenched processes and methodologies to recommend improvements.
- Interact with engineers from multiple disciplines, manufacturing & quality, and regularly exposed to commodity and industry experts all while promoting open and honest dialogue.
- Travel to manufacturing sites to gain practical knowledge of manufacturing, ensure parts are made according to design intent, discuss producibility issues and explore proposals of cost reduction.
