Job Description Summary: Materials Application Engineer (MAE) intern will support the analysis of hardware by performing different activities related to aviation engines engineering projects, addressing the solution to different material requests, and guiding internal customers on different processes used on aviation industry for manufacturing and field support by collaborating with MAE´s staff. At the same time, the intern may conduct torque tension laboratory activities for specific hardware responsibility by collaborating with MAE´s staff, as needed.

Job Summary

The EID Intern - Materials Laboratory Engineer will support research and development activities related to advanced turbomachinery materials, focusing on experimental analysis, material characterization, and laboratory operations. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a cutting-edge engineering environment.

Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and execution of various material testing experiments (e.g., mechanical testing, metallography, thermal analysis).




- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data, contributing to research reports and presentations.
- Support the development and optimization of new material processing techniques.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and researchers on ongoing projects.
- Maintain a safe and organized laboratory environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Participate in literature reviews to stay updated on advancements in materials science and engineering.
- Document experimental procedures, results, and findings accurately and thoroughly.

Job Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
