General Summary

The Senior Molding Engineer will be a part of CommScope’s GENERAL MOLDCELL TEAM, based in Juárez, Mexico.

Responsible for receiving molding projects from other global regions.

This role coordinates the start-up of these projects in Mexico and the United States, both within internal production plants and at external suppliers.




The engineer ensures that new or sustain molds operate under optimal conditions and in full compliance with the agreed specifications.
In addition, the engineer supports maintenance planning, process documentation, efficiency improvements, and quality enhancements.

Duties and Responsibilities

Process: Develop the manufacturing plans which include the Capital requirements, component/tooling, assembly methods, test plans and/or manufacturing requirements to introduce new or enhanced product designs. Develop cost effective methods to produce the components required on New Product Introduction (NPI) and Profit Improvement Plan (PIP) projects as assigned.

Implementation: Implementation of manufacturing plans established which include but aren't limited to;
- Coordinating the procurement, design, build and debug of component tooling, assembly tooling/machinery, and/or manufacturing test equipment required to produce defined product. - Verify manufacturing processes, methods, tooling capabilities and capacity.
