Your Mission, Roles And Responsibilities

As a member of the Plant Quality Team, the Plant Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring product & process conformity in accordance with the control plan / specification (drawings, norms, internal and external customer agreements) / CSR / Forvia standards and the right application of the quality principles and is responsible for the interface between the customer and the plant for any quality matters. He/She ensures the application of the Automotive Industry Quality Core Tools, such as APQP, Control Plan, FMEA, MSA, APQP, PPAP, Problem solving (8D), etc. and the 8 Quality Basics (8QB). They represent the customer voice into the plant. Be in charge of getting customer’s approval (PPAP, deviation, transfer, …). He/She shall provide coaching and training to meet internal and external customer requirements.



The Plant Quality Engineer will support the quality department activities and promote continuous improvement of current processes.

Responsibilities

Represents the customer within the plant and acts accordingly within his assigned production lines.
Keep all quality documentation updated within his assigned production lines, and ensure consistency between PFMEA, control plan and work instructions according to the Faurecia Core Procedures system.
Organizes Control plan updates - meeting with the entire team
Active participation in the creation or updates of P-FMEA meetings
Implement the necessary quality operating tools and methods to demonstrate process stability and operator’s qualification: master/boundary samples, green/red rabbits for Poka-Yoke verification, gages, Capability studies, Gage R&R; analysis, product audit checklist, 1 st part release, Quality alerts, etc.
Coach and train the Quality auditors, Quality inspectors and operator/GAP leaders/supervisors on the 8 Quality Basics, Customer specif
