Responsibilities
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
Deliver unforgettable first impressions: Greet guests warmly and ascertain their needs quickly and effectively
Maintain a smooth flow: Seat guests, manage the seating chart, and monitor dining activity to ensure a seamless experience
Deliver standout service: Respond promptly and knowledgeably to guest inquiries and special requests
Support general operations: Perform opening/closing tasks and assist with service prep such as stocking and folding silverware
Greet, welcome, and escort guests to their tables in a cordial and professional manner.
Confirm reservations and verify preferences, special occasions, dietary restrictions,



and special requests.
Manage the reservation system, ensuring guest information is accurate and up to date.
Organize the seating plan and ensure balanced table rotation across service stations.
Manage the waitlist and provide realistic, up-to-date wait times.
Maintain constant communication with servers, supervisors, the kitchen staff, and management.
Identify frequent guests, VIPs, and special occasions to facilitate personalized service.
Handle no-shows, cancellations, and last-minute changes.
Promote the restaurant's experiences, events, and special offers.
Assist in maximizing occupancy and ensuring efficient table utilization.
Keep the reception area clean, organized, and presentable.
Respond to reservation-related calls, emails, and messages professionally and promptly.
Address initial requests or concerns with empathy and escalate situations when necessary.
