About This Role:
We are seeking a Finance Analyst with first-hand experience building eCommerce financial models from scratch. This is not a maintenance role. You will architect, refine, and pressure-test financial models that directly inform founder-level decision-making.
You must understand how eCommerce businesses actually work — from ad spend and CAC to AOV, CVR, fulfillment costs, and contribution margins — and be comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
This role requires independent thinking,
intellectual curiosity, and the confidence to challenge assumptions when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build full 3-statement financial models from scratch for eCommerce and CPG businesses
- Incorporate marketing metrics such as CAC, CVR, traffic, AOV, and ad spend into revenue forecasting
- Model cost structures, including COGS, fulfillment, shipping, and operational expenses
- Develop dynamic cash flow forecasts and scenario planning models
- Conduct unit economics and contribution margin analysis
- Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for founders
- Participate in strategic discussions and challenge assumptions when appropriate
- Support integration of financial models into BI tools or data visualization platforms
- Leverage AI and automation tools to improve efficiency and model accuracy
