About Plants and Pillars Project

Plants and Pillars Project is a 501(c)(3) Missions Society with the mission of Planting Churches and Schools in Latin America that become Pillars of Faith and Education in their Communities. Based in Querétaro, Mexico we planted our first church in November 2024 and are now growing that work as we look toward what's next.

Querétaro is located in a region that is commonly called the "Circle of Silence." This is because most recent studies show that the percentage of professing Protestant Christians is less than 3.5% in Querétaro. We believe by God's grace, we can change that!

The Opportunity: Mission

We're looking for a man to fill the role of Associate Pastor and serve alongside our Lead Pastor in Querétaro, Mexico. This isn't a church-planting pastorate — it's a role focused on helping grow and shepherd our existing congregation, with a strong emphasis on the discipling of men toward the work of pastoral ministry themselves. You'll help build the next generation of leadership this church, this nation, and this movement will need.

Full Support-Raised Role: Money

This position does not carry a fixed salary. Like the rest of our ministry team, it runs on a missionary support model: the Associate Pastor raises personal and ministry financial support from churches and individuals before and during their time on the field.



That's not an administrative footnote — it's part of the calling.

It reflects a life of dependence on God's provision through His people, and it builds a partnership base that shares fully in the mission rather than simply funding it from a distance.

What You'll Do

- Serve alongside the Lead Pastor in shepherding and growing our church in Querétaro
- Preach, teach, and provide pastoral care as part of the church's leadership (English and Spanish)
- Identify and Disciple men specifically toward the work of pastoral ministry — raising up future pastors and leaders, not just mature members
- Help carry the pastoral load so the Lead Pastor can pursue the ministry's next phase of growth
- Build and maintain a personal team of financial and prayer partners

What We're Looking For

- A clear, examined call to pastoral ministry, with a heart for developing other leaders
- Doctrinal alignment with our church's confession and covenant (1689 London Baptist)
- Willingness to relocate to Querétaro, Mexico, for a minimum two-year commitment
- Willingness and ability to raise full personal and ministry support
- Spanish proficiency is preferred, or a genuine willingness to reach it quickly
- Prior pastoral, discipleship, or leadership-development experience preferred, not required
