As an Import and Export Analyst at MKS, you will partner with (Engineering, Internal Teams, Sales, Customers, etc.) to support Supply Chain Team USA and Mexico. In this role, you will report to the Sr. Purchasing Supervisor

Principal Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate import and export operations to ensure uninterrupted material flow and on-time deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with customs, trade, and regulatory requirements in Mexico and the United States.
- Review tariff classifications (HTS) and maintain accurate trade documentation.
- Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, and logistics providers.
- Monitor international shipments, customs clearance, and resolve transportation or customs issues.
- Analyze and control logistics costs, including freight, air shipments, storage, demurrage, and detention charges.
- Develop and implement initiatives to reduce logistics costs and improve transit times.
- Maintain communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding shipment status and trade requirements.
- Track and report logistics and customs KPIs, including OTD, logistics cost per shipment, air freight usage, customs lead times, and transportation utilization.
- Support Material Requirements Planning (MRP) activities to ensure material availability.
- Collaborate with Purchasing, Planning, Production, and Customer Service teams to support operational continuity.
- Lead corrective actions, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives related to international trade and supply chain operations.
- Support future expansion of export operations for the U.S. manufacturing facility.
Skills You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and more than 5 years of related experience. Foreign Trade, International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain
- 3-5 years of experience in imports and/or exports.
- Advanced English.
- Data analysis and interpretation skills.
- Advanced
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Knowledge of customs regulations and declarations of value, preferably in the chemical industry.
