Location: Remote (LATAM based) Reports to: Senior Operations Manager Employment Type: Full timeSalary: $35K USDAbout the RoleWe are looking for a dedicated, full time Demand Planning and Inventory Manager to own forecasting and inventory accuracy across our portfolio of consumer products brands.
This is a company with multiple direct to consumer subscription brands, one single purchase DTC brand, and two wholesale brands sold through major retail partners.This role sits at the center of how we plan and manage inventory.
The single most important thing this person owns is making sure our forecasting is accurate and that our recorded inventory position actually reflects reality, by working closely with our warehouse team to reconcile sales order activity against physical cycle counts every week.
You will be the person who catches a forecasting error before it becomes a stockout, who catches an inventory discrepancy before it throws off a reorder decision, and who builds the reporting infrastructure that lets leadership see true inventory health at a glance across every brand and channel.This is a dedicated, single client role.
You will not be splitting your time or attention across other companies or accounts.Key ResponsibilitiesDemand Planning and ForecastingAnalyze sales velocity across all DTC brands and forecast demand by SKUDetermine and execute reorder timing and quantities for DTC brands to avoid stockouts and overstockIncorporate seasonality trends and channel performance data from ecommerce, Amazon, retail marketplace, and social commerce channels into forecasting and reorder decisionsCoordinate directly with our overseas production team on reorder needs, production timing, and inventory availabilitySales Order and Inventory ReconciliationOwn the process of pulling sales orders across all sales channels,
including wholesale retail partners and marketplace channels, and ensuring inventory is accurately and promptly decremented as orders ship from our warehouseMaintain a real time, accurate view of true available inventory at all times, since forecasting, reordering, and fulfillment decisions all depend on this number being correctReview and reconcile weekly cycle count data provided by the warehouse shipping and receiving coordinator against expected inventory levels based on sales order activityInvestigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, tracing issues back to root cause, whether that is a sales order processing error, a receiving error, or a physical count errorNote: this role reviews and reconciles cycle count data but does not have supervisory authority over the warehouse coordinator, who reports separately to the Senior Operations ManagerReporting and VisibilityMaintain a formal reorder tracker and replenishment schedule, kept current and accessible to leadershipBuild and maintain regular reporting on inventory health, discrepancy trends, forecast accuracy, and stock levels across all brandsProactively communicate inventory risks and planning recommendations directly to leadership, rather than waiting to be askedAdditional ResponsibilitiesCreate, track, and reconcile purchase orders, flagging issues before they affect operationsOwn the shipment calendar and deadline tracking for inventory sent into third party fulfillment centers,
including Amazon FBA, ensuring shipments are submitted on time to prevent sales disruptionTrack replenishment needs and coordinate reorder timing and order minimums with our wholesale retail partnersMaintain organized, accessible documentation for vendor contracts and communicationsWhat We Are Looking ForPrior experience in demand planning, forecasting, or inventory management, ideally spanning both DTC and wholesale or retail channelsStrong analytical skills and genuine comfort working with numbers, forecasts, and reconciliation data in Excel or Google SheetsA precise, detail obsessed mindset, this role requires someone who catches small numerical discrepancies before they become larger problemsExperience with Amazon marketplace operations, including FBA shipment coordination, is a plusExperience coordinating with overseas manufacturing or production teams is a plusExcellent written and verbal communication skills for working with internal teams, vendors, and retail partnersAbility to work as a dedicated, full time resource for a single companyComfort working independently in a remote structure with regular reporting cadence to leadershipReporting StructureThis role reports to the Senior Operations Manager.
