Description
Job Title: Bilingual Dental Revenue Cycle Specialist
Position Type: Full-Time
Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Mountain Standard Time, Monday – Friday
Salary rate: $6-$8
Job Responsibilities:
- Process and monitor dental insurance claims accurately and promptly.
- Review accounts receivable and aging reports to identify outstanding or unpaid claims.
- Follow up with insurance companies regarding pending, rejected, underpaid, or denied claims.
- Investigate claim denials and prepare corrected claims, reconsideration requests, and appeals.
- Verify patients’ insurance eligibility, benefits, coverage limitations, deductibles, copayments, and remaining annual maximums.
- Work with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans when applicable.
- Document insurance verification details and claim updates accurately in Open Dental.
- Handle inbound and outbound patient calls professionally.
- Schedule, reschedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments.
- Communicate treatment, appointment, billing, and insurance information clearly to patients in English and Spanish.
- Manage patient referrals and coordinate required documentation with referring providers.
- Contact patients regarding appointments, insurance concerns, outstanding requirements, and billing matters.
- Perform virtual receptionist duties and ensure calls and messages are routed appropriately.
- Provide general administrative and billing support to the dental team.
Requirements
Experience Requirements
Requirements:
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory.
- At least 1 year of experience working with U.S. dental or healthcare insurance.
- Strong knowledge of dental insurance claims, eligibility verification, appeals, denial management, and insurance follow-ups.
- Experience reviewing accounts receivable and insurance aging reports.
- Proven experience working within the U.S. dental industry and understanding dental practice workflows.
- Experience communicating with insurance representatives, patients, dental providers, and referral offices.
- Strong patient-facing and telephone communication skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally and compassionately with English and Spanish-speaking patients.
Basic Requirements
- Must speak and write English clearly and professionally.
- Must have relevant work experience.
- Must be able to provide an NBI Clearance and/or Local Police Clearance before onboarding (mandatory).
- Must be available to attend video meetings with camera on when required.
Technical Requirements
