Texas Counseling Center is a behavioral health practice based in Texas, specializing in mental health evaluations for immigration cases. We provide objective, evidence-based evaluations through a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform.

About the role

We are looking for a bilingual (Spanish/English) interviewer to support our immigration psychosocial evaluation process by conducting intake and history interviews with Spanish-speaking clients, under the supervision of our licensed clinical team. This is a contract position, fully remote, with a schedule of 10:00 am to 7:00 pm (Houston/Central time), with a one-hour lunch break.

Responsibilities

- Conduct intake and personal history interviews with clients via telehealth, in Spanish and/or English as needed.
- Document clients' accounts clearly, accurately, and objectively for use in the clinical file.
- Strictly maintain the confidentiality of information in accordance with HIPAA.




- Collaborate with the licensed clinical team to ensure the quality and consistency of the information gathered.

Requirements

- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written) — required.
- Ability to build rapport and trust with clients who have experienced traumatic events.
- Excellent active listening, writing, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Reliable internet access and a private space for conducting telehealth interviews.

Nice to have (not required)

- Prior experience conducting interviews or evaluations in forensic, immigration, or mental health settings.
- Current or completed studies in psychology, social work, or counseling.
