You'll maintain the optimal balance between service level, inventory, and cost — minimizing line-stoppage risks while driving continuous improvement in supplier performance through proactive follow-up and risk management.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging and following up on purchase orders for direct materials, ensuring timely delivery according to production requirementsMonitoring supplier performance, including OTD, past due, lead time, and delivery commitments, identifying risks and driving recovery plansAnalyzing material requirements, inventory levels, and demand to prevent shortages, excess inventory, and obsolescenceMaintaining close communication with suppliers and internal teams such as Planning, Production, Quality, Logistics,
and Engineering to resolve supply issuesMonitoring critical materials and proactively escalating any risk that could impact production continuitySupporting continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory reduction, lead-time optimization, supplier performance, and cost efficiencyMaintaining accurate and up-to-date supplier, purchase order, delivery, and commitment information in the corresponding systemsExecuting processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement goals, including RFPs, negotiations, cost accountability, and/or program executionApproving and qualifying vendors to fulfill account needsAuthorizing purchase orders and approving payments to ensure the procurement process goes smoothlyAnalyzing and reviewing price proposals, financial reports, and other data to provide input on reasonable pricingPreparing and reviewing requests for proposals (RFPs) and bid packagesAnalyzing and monitoring contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligationsRequirementsWe are looking for people who are analytical, proactive, and strong communicators, with solid organizational and negotiation skills.

Business Administration, International Trade, Supply Chain, or a related field2+ years of experience in Procurement, Materials, Supply Chain, Planning, or related areasExperience managing and following up with suppliers and purchase ordersKnowledge of MRP/ERP systems, Excel, and data analysisIntermediate to advanced EnglishStrong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritize multiple activities and make decisions in a fast-paced environmentStrong follow-up, negotiation, and supplier management skillsNice to have5+ years of relevant experience (or an advanced degree with 3+ years)Broad knowledge of Carrier's organization, programs, or systemsBenefitsWe offer a competitive total rewards package that may include other benefits and well-being programs.
