The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, managing internal and external audits, conducting risk assessments, leading corrective and preventive actions, coordinating emergency response plans, and providing guidance to all plant functions regarding ESH requirements. The ESH Leader also oversees security and occupational health activities to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all EHS activities within the plant.
- Translate integral and BA EHS strategy into actionable local plans.
- Contribute to plant strategic and operational planning (capacity, investments, headcount).
- Advise plant leadership on EHS topics and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Lead local and global EHS-related projects.
- Represent the organization before regulatory authorities on EHS matters.
- Ensure implementation of occupational safety, environmental protection, and health programs.

- Oversee occupational health services (medical services, ergonomics, industrial hygiene).
- Ensure workplace safety standards and legal obligations are met.
- Coordinate safety inspections for new equipment and installations prior to release.
- Ensure compliance with legal regulations and internal standards.
- Implement and maintain certifications such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001.
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess impact on operations.
- Ensure all required permits are obtained and maintained.
- Lead internal and external EHS audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Develop and implement emergency and crisis management plans.
- Conduct risk assessments (environmental, safety, operational).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using structured methodologies.
- Monitor EHS KPIs and ensure achievement of targets.
- Oversee plant housekeeping and cleaning services, ensuring compliance with safety, hygiene, and environmental standards.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Occupational Safety, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in EHS/ESH leadership roles within manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of environmental, health and safety regulations.
- Experience implementing and maintaining ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
- Leadership experience managing cross-functional initiatives and promoting safety culture.
- Advanced English communication skills preferred.
*Knowledge of environmental permits, legal compliance and regulatory reporting.
- Experience conducting risk assessments, accident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Ability to lead internal and external audits and implement corrective actions.
- Experience with emergency response programs and crisis management.
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
