Organization- The Standard, Mexico City

Summary

Marketing Experience Manager The Standard, Mexico City is arriving in Tabacalera with character, color, and a little bit of trouble—in the best possible way. With 206 guestrooms, 27 branded residences, vibrant dining destinations, and a rooftop overlooking the Monumento a la Revolución, we’re bringing our unmistakable energy to Latin America.

We’re looking for a Marketing Experience Manager who knows that a great idea is only the beginning. Someone who can move effortlessly between strategy and spontaneity, culture and commerce, big-picture thinking and the tiny details that make a moment memorable.

You’ll need to know Mexico City—not just the obvious places, but the people, spaces, sounds, scenes, and ideas shaping what comes next. You’ll be curious, connected, discerning, organized, and comfortable turning a spark of inspiration into something real, relevant, and distinctly The Standard.

The Opportunity

At The Standard, marketing is not about shouting louder. It’s about knowing what’s worth talking about.

As our Marketing Experience Manager, you’ll help define how The Standard, Mexico City shows up in the city and in the world. You’ll create campaigns, cultural programming, partnerships, content, events, and experiences that feel authentic, unexpected, and impossible to replicate anywhere else.

You’ll work closely with the Marketing & Culture Director and teams across the hotel to bring ambitious ideas to life—beautifully, thoughtfully, and with enough operational rigor to make sure nothing falls through the cracks.

What You’ll Do

- Build genuine relationships with artists, musicians, designers, institutions, brands, creative spaces, and communities that matter.
- Keep a close eye on what’s happening across Mexico City’s art, music, design, fashion, film, food,

and nightlife scenes.
- Execute the hotel’s cultural and experiential calendar, connecting meaningful ideas with brand and business goals.
- Lead projects from the first scribble on a page through the final guest experience, including concepts, proposals, budgets, timelines, production, operations, and postmortems.
- Turn ambitious ideas into clear briefs that agencies, creatives, talent, partners, and vendors can actually bring to life.
- Coordinate internal teams and external collaborators, keeping scope, contracts, deliverables, timelines, quality, and expectations on track.
- Design and produce events, activations, partnerships, and experiences for guests, residents, local audiences, and curious passersby.
- Curate experiences within the hotel that support The Standard, Mexico City’s cultural point of view.
- Manage project budgets, quotations, purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and reconciliations with care and precision.
- Keep the department’s calendar moving, anticipating dependencies, approvals, risks, and the occasional plot twist.
- Identify emerging talent, unexpected collaborators, and opportunities before they become obvious—or overexposed.
- Measure what matters, from reach and engagement to attendance, traffic, conversion, partnership value, demand generation, and budget performance.
- Prepare clear reports and postmortems that capture results, learnings, and what we should do next time.
- Protect the brand while giving it room to breathe,

evolve, and surprise people.
- Be available for key experiences outside regular working hours, including some evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

- At least five years of experience in marketing, culture, lifestyle hospitality, entertainment, events, creative production, content, or a related field.
- A proven ability to lead complex creative projects from idea to execution.
- Strong experience creating proposals, briefs, presentations, timelines, budgets, reports, and other things that keep good ideas moving.
- A real understanding of Mexico City’s creative and cultural landscape—and the curiosity to keep discovering it.
- The ability to build sincere, lasting relationships beyond the usual contact list.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish, plus professional fluency in English.
- Cultural intelligence, editorial judgment, and the ability to recognize the difference between what is merely popular and what is genuinely relevant.
- A degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Cultural Management, Production, or a related field—or an equally compelling combination of experience and instinct.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage several moving parts without losing the plot.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding that culture can drive demand, reputation, content, relationships, and business.
- Good taste, sound judgment, discretion, and a point of view.
- A proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented approach.
- Calmness, adaptability, and a sense of humor in a fast-moving pre-opening environment.

If you know how to spot what’s next, bring people together around a good idea, and turn culture into experiences people remember, we’d like to meet you.
