GENERAL SUMMARY The Planning Coordinator is responsible to supervise and coordinate the activities of the team to meet the objectives, projects, governances and all activities related to the department of planning.

The Planning Coordinator will assure a good synergy among the team including the internal and external clients and suppliers.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Coordination & Performance

- Supervise the team and coordinate the daily, weekly and monthly activities and ensure their achievements.
- Establish BSC (Balance Score Card) indicator on performance to achieve company delivery goals.
- Coordinate activities to achieve the objectives on the BSC.
- Organize the governance of the team and ensure the appropriate flow of communication on a timely manner.
- Directly manage any emergency base on the priority level.
- Assure the work load distribution within the team.
- Assure the work load distribution within the team.

Planning & Operations

- Assure constant optimization of the parts parameters to reduce inventory.
- Coordinate the end of model year for obsolescence level.
- Coordinate activities for the integration of new suppliers and new parts introduction.
- Elaborate, manage and improve the ODC (Other Direct Costs) such as special freight, obsolescence, recharge to suppliers, etc.

Process Improvement & Standardization

- Assure standardization of procedures and processes in the department as well as improvements.
- Share best practices with other facilities to maximize the standardization.
- Continuous improvement in the department.

People Management

- Coordinate the hiring process of the team and propose final candidate the Planning Manager.
- Integration of a new team member.
- Identify talent in the team and develop the candidate.
- Perform the bi-annual and annual evaluation of the team.

Safety & Additional Responsibilities

- Performs activities related to safety.
- Any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by department supervisor.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Experience & Education

- Minimum of five (5) years of production planner experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Industrial Engineering Degree or Administration Degree.

Technical Skills

- Knowledge in Excel, Word, SAP.
- Knowledge in Six Sigma approach.

- Excellent attention to detail, time management and administration skills.
- Strong planning and problem solving abilities.
- Capacity in training and coaching.
- Good listener and communicator.
- Initiative, proactive and leadership skills.
