Job DescriptionThis role supports the organization's data protection, privacy compliance, and AI governance program across the Americas.
The position ensures that personal data is handled in accordance with applicable local regulations and company policies.Working closely with the Global Privacy, Product & AI Legal team, this role plays a key part in monitoring compliance, raising awareness across the organization, supporting contract reviews, and advancing responsible AI practices.
The position serves as a strategic partner and right hand to the Americas Privacy Leader, with strong opportunity for growth and ownership.Key Responsibilities1.
Data Protection ComplianceMonitor and maintain statutory registrations and filings across countries in the AmericasSupport internal privacy compliance reviews and auditsAssist in incident response and data breach escalation processesReview and update privacy notices, disclosures, and consent mechanisms2.
Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs)Support the preparation, documentation, and maintenance of DPIAs for new projects, systems, or productsIdentify privacy risks and recommend mitigation strategies3.
Contracting & Third-Party Risk ManagementReview and negotiate Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and data protection clauses with vendors and clients (critical responsibility)Monitor third-party compliance with data protection requirementsSupport broader contract lifecycle management related to privacy4.
Data Subject RightsSupport handling of Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) across the AmericasEnsure requests are processed within regulatory timelines5.
Training & AwarenessManage and deliver data protection training and awareness programs for associatesPromote a strong privacy culture across the organization6.
AI Governance & ComplianceSupport implementation and maintenance of internal AI governance frameworks, policies, and standardsAssist in monitoring evolving AI regulations (e.g., AI Act and local frameworks)Advise on responsible, lawful, and ethical use of AI aligned with internal policies7.
Documentation & ToolsMaintain privacy documentation and compliance records using tools such as OneTrustSupport reporting, tracking, and governance activities8.




Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with:Global Privacy, Product & AI Legal teamAmericas Legal leadershipBusiness stakeholders across the region9.
Additional ResponsibilitiesProvide translations when required (primarily Spanish, Portuguese, English)Support regional and global privacy initiativesScope & ImpactCovers the entire Americas region (multi-country, multi-regulation environment)Heavy involvement in contract review, compliance documentation, and operational privacy executionExposure to both data protection and emerging AI governance topicsQualificationsIAPP Certification (CIPP, CIPM, or equivalent)Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or related field3–6 years of experience in privacy, compliance, governance, or regulatory rolesStrong experience reviewing and negotiating Data Processing Agreements (DPAs)Experience in contract review and legal documentationSolid understanding of personal data and data protection principlesFluency in:EnglishSpanishPortuguese nice to havePreferredExperience with privacy tools (e.g., OneTrust)Exposure to data breach response processesFamiliarity with DPIAsBasic knowledge of AI concepts and AI governanceExperience in multinational or regional environmentsAdditional language (e.g., French) is a plusIdeal Candidate ProfileStrong interest and passion for data privacy and protectionDetail-oriented with strong analytical and documentation skillsProactive, solution-oriented, and hands-on mindsetComfortable managing multiple priorities across regionsCollaborative and able to work cross-functionallyAdditional InformationOur BenefitsFlexible working environmentVolunteer time offLinkedIn LearningEmployee-Assistance-Program (EAP)NIQ may utilize artificial intelligence (AI) tools at various stages of the recruitment process, including résumé screening, candidate assessments, interview scheduling, job matching, communication support,
