We are seeking a strategic and highly driven Senior Manager of Growth & Customer Acquisition to lead the strategy, execution, and optimization of our customer acquisition efforts. This role will be responsible for setting the long-term vision of acquisition, driving cross-channel strategies, and leading a team to deliver sustainable growth.
You will play a critical leadership role, working with executives and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on growth objectives, performance insights, and investment decisions. Unlike a traditional individual contributor or purely managerial role, this position requires a player-coach mindset, combining strong team leadership with hands-on execution. The role will lead and develop a team, influence senior stakeholders, and design scalable acquisition strategies, while also directly performing analysis, building presentations and marketing briefs, developing recommendations, and working closely with internal teams and external partners to drive execution and accelerate customer growth.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Define and lead the customer acquisition strategy across paid media, influencer programs, partnerships, affiliates, organic, and product-led growth, leveraging data-driven performance analysis, customer and channel insights, and marketing competitive intelligence to identify growth opportunities, optimize acquisition efficiency, inform strategic decisions, and continuously improve performance.
- Serve as the primary thought leader for acquisition, influencing executive decision-making and guiding cross-functional collaboration.
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing acquisition team, fostering innovation and accountability.
- Translate growth objectives into actionable plans, ensuring alignment between marketing, product, finance, and executive leadership.
Acquisition & Growth Performance
- Oversee performance across acquisition channels, ensuring efficiency and ROI on spend.
- Establish performance benchmarks (CAC, ROAS, LTV, retention) and ensure delivery against targets.
- Partner with creative, product, and channel owners to design, test, and scale acquisition initiatives.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting
- Own acquisition forecasting, budgeting, and investment models to inform executive decision-making.
- Present strategic insights and recommendations to leadership with clarity and impact.
- Ensure reporting frameworks and dashboards deliver actionable, executive-ready performance intelligence.
Insights & Optimization
- Champion data-driven decision-making by ensuring robust attribution models and funnel analysis.
- Proactively identify optimization opportunities across audiences, creatives, and channels.
- Lead quarterly and annual acquisition reviews, highlighting growth opportunities and risks.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner closely with product, data, finance, and operations teams to ensure acquisition strategy integrates seamlessly with broader company goals.
- Influence senior stakeholders by providing thought leadership on growth best practices and market dynamics.
- Represent the acquisition function in executive and board-level discussions.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in growth marketing, acquisition strategy, or performance marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of developing and executing large-scale acquisition strategies that deliver measurable growth.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring high-performing teams.
- Deep expertise in digital acquisition channels (Google, Meta, affiliates, influencers, partnerships) and attribution methodologies.
- Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate insights into business impact.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience influencing executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Bilingual English and Spanish are highly preferred.
- Experience in financial services, fintech, or other regulated industries is a strong plus.
