Job Description SummaryWe are seeking a Continuous Improvement Intern to support process improvement initiatives across the business.
This role will help identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost by analyzing workflows, supporting lean activities, and assisting teams with data-driven problem solving.
The intern will work with cross-functional partners to document current processes, develop improvement recommendations, and help sustain gains through standard work and visual management.Job Description Roles and ResponsibilitiesSupport continuous improvement initiatives aligned with business priorities using Lean and problem-solving toolsCollect, analyze, and present data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunitiesAssist with process mapping, root cause analysis, action planning, and implementation trackingHelp develop and maintain standard work, visual management, operating documentation and technical documentationParticipate in Kaizen events, team meetings, and improvement reviewsPartner with cross-functional teams and senior leaders to implement improvements, track actions, sustainment actions and communicate progressContribute creative solutions to improve quality, response time, and project outcomesWork within applicable policies, procedures, engineering standards, and security requirementsPresent analyses and results clearly to technical and cross-functional audiencesUse statistical tools to support analysis and decision-makingDocument technical data generated to substantiate assigned components, assemblies, systems, and/or processes consistent with engineering policies and proceduresRequired QualificationsIndustrial / Administrative Mechanical Engineering (IMA)
/ Aeronautical / Mechanical / Energy / Software Engineering studentFluent in English (written and spoken); must be able to maintain a conversationFamiliarity with Lean Methodology conceptsUnderstanding of Microsoft Project or similar softwareGood programming skills; computer skills in MS Office and at least one programming language (preferably Python)Basic StatisticsAbility to manage tasks independentlyEffective problem identification and solution skillsStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAccountable with a strong learning/continuous improvement mindsetOpen team player with strong interpersonal skillsAI agent userFull-time: 40 hours per weekMust have tax ID (RFC) and social security number (IMSS)In-person work required at GEIQ offices in Querétaro, MéxicoDesired CharacteristicsBackground in Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics & StatisticsExperience with visual management tools is a plusTo ensure compliance with tax obligations related to electronic receipts, the company will ask for the candidate's tax information, including the candidate's tax ID certificate ("Constancia de Situación Fiscal") issued by tax authority, "SAT" in accordance with tax regulation, due to which it is of great importance that the candidate has the updated information at the moment of applying for the job opening.Additional InformationRelocation Assistance Provided: NoAt GE Aerospace, we invent the future of flight, lift people up, and bring them home safely.
