The EHS Specialist will be responsible for supporting and coordinating Environmental, Health, and Safety activities, ensuring compliance with applicable legal requirements, promoting a strong safety culture, and maintaining a safe and healthy workplace for all employees.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and unsafe conditions, and follow up on corrective actions.
Propose and implement improvements to reduce risks and strengthen the company's safety culture.
Monitor and report Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) key performance indicators (KPIs).
Coordinate emergency prevention, preparedness, and response programs.
Coordinate EHS induction training for new employees and contractors.
Implement corrective and preventive actions to improve EHS performance.
Coordinate activities related to occupational health and medical services.




Manage the follow-up of workplace accidents and occupational illness cases.
Monitor the proper handling, storage, collection, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
Follow up with authorized waste management providers and ensure proper waste management practices.
Participate in waste reduction, recycling, and waste recovery programs.
Monitor compliance with NOM-STPS standards and other applicable Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations.
Prepare monthly EHS reports, presentations, and documentation for management.
Inspect emergency equipment, fire extinguishers, alarms, and fire protection systems, ensuring proper functionality and compliance.
Identify, evaluate, and monitor applicable legal requirements related to Environmental, Health, and Safety.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to EHS performance and compliance.
