Human Resources Manager
Position Objective
Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. Serve as a key link between management and employees, supporting organizational development, employee engagement, and positive labor relations, while overseeing the overall Human Resources function and ensuring an effective and people-focused work environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing/maquiladora environment, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Strong operational mindset and deep understanding of manufacturing environments, including production, workforce management, labor relations, absenteeism, turnover, productivity, and organizational needs.
- Highly hands-on and business-oriented, with the ability to be actively present and involved in day-to-day operations and workforce matters.
- Strong sense of urgency and responsiveness, with the ability to understand business needs quickly, prioritize effectively, and provide immediate and practical HR solutions.
- Ability to partner closely with Operations, Plant Management, and other business leaders, translating business challenges into effective people strategies and actions.
- Strong people orientation combined with a results-driven, execution-focused approach.
- Proven experience managing and interpreting HR metrics and KPIs, using data to identify trends, anticipate risks, and drive business decisions.
- Knowledge and practical experience with HR systems, databases, and HR analytics.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills, combined with the ability to execute at the operational level.
- Ability to build and effectively manage relationships at all levels of the organization, from shop floor employees to senior leadership.
- Solid knowledge of Mexican labor legislation, collective labor relations, and HR best practices.
- Proactive and solution-oriented, capable of anticipating workforce and operational challenges rather than simply reacting to them.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding manufacturing environment, managing multiple priorities and responding quickly to changing business requirements.
- Availability to travel between sites is required.
- Schedule flexibility and availability to support business and operational needs.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
- High level of ownership, accountability, and commitment to the business, with the ability to act as a true HR Business Partner rather than functioning solely as an administrative HR resource.
- Customer-oriented mindset, understanding that HR must provide timely, practical, and value-added solutions that enable the business to achieve its operational and financial objectives.
Main Responsibilities

- Serve as a liaison between management and employees, addressing employee concerns, requests, grievances, and other workplace matters.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process.
- Support current and future business needs through talent development, employee engagement, motivation, and retention.
- Develop and oversee HR strategies, systems, policies, processes, and procedures across the organization.
- Promote and maintain a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Oversee and manage the performance management process to promote high performance.
- Maintain compensation structures and employee benefit programs.
- Assess training needs and coordinate the implementation and monitoring of training and development programs.
- Provide management with HR insights and support decision-making through HR metrics, analytics, and reports.
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance throughout HR management and employee relations.
