About the Position:
The
Field Technician III
is responsible for performing advanced preventive and corrective maintenance activities on utility-scale renewable energy assets, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. Reporting to the
O&M; Manager
, this role serves as a technical leader in the field by performing complex troubleshooting, supporting commissioning activities, mentoring junior technicians, and driving continuous improvements in asset reliability and operational performance.
Responsibilities: Advanced Maintenance & Troubleshooting
– Performs complex preventive and corrective maintenance on photovoltaic plants and associated electrical systems, leads fault diagnosis,



and implements effective corrective actions to maximize equipment reliability and plant availability.
Plant Operations & Performance Optimization
– Monitors plant performance, identifies operational risks, analyzes equipment performance trends, and recommends technical improvements to optimize energy production, asset reliability, and maintenance efficiency.
Technical Support & Equipment Reliability
– Provides advanced technical support for electrical, mechanical, and control systems, ensuring timely resolution of complex equipment failures and minimizing operational downtime.
Commissioning & Technical Documentation
– Leads or supports commissioning activities, functional testing, technical investigations, and the development and continuous improvement of maintenance procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical documentation.
