Manages the RFQ and sourcing process for aerospace components, raw materials, hardware, chemicals, electrical components, and fabricated parts. Identifies qualified suppliers, analyzes quotations, negotiates commercial terms, and delivers sourcing recommendations that balance cost, quality, delivery, and supply-chain risk. Reviews RFQs/BOMs/drawings; issues RFQs to qualified manufacturers/distributors; compares quotes on price, lead time, MOQ, tooling/NRE, freight, Incoterms, NCNR; prepares comparisons and recommendations. Identifies manufacturers, authorized distributors, and alternates for long-lead, shortage, or obsolete components; verifies PN/revision/spec compliance; flags sourcing risk; supports supplier qualification with Quality/Engineering. Runs price comparisons and historical pricing analysis; sets target pricing. Ensures sourcing accounts for MIL-Spec, NAS/MS/AN standards, C of C, traceability, First Article, special processes, and Ro HS/REACH as applicable.
Aligns sourcing decisions with Engineering, Quality, Planning, Operations, Program Management and Sales. Qualifications Bachelor’s in supply chain, Business, or Engineering preferred; equivalent experience considered. 2–5 years in sourcing/procurement/quoting; aerospace, defense, or other regulated-manufacturing experience preferred. Required RFQ/RFP management Supplier sourcing & development Quotation & cost analysis Price negotiation, supplier follow-up Lead-time analysis Excel, ERP/MRP systems Purchasing fundamentals 75% English (able to make and take phone and video calls) Preferred ERP knowledge Aerospace part-number research MIL-Spec / NAS / MS / AN familiarity Engineering drawing interpretation; AS9100 environment Approved Supplier List / supplier qualification Long-lead, shortage, and last-time-buy sourcing #J-18808-Ljbffr
