Project Manager – Controlling / Cost Planning – Mexico

Description:

For our client, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager to support a short-term Cost Center Planning and financial process improvement initiative across three manufacturing plants in Mexico.

Responsibilities:

As a Project Manager on the business side coordinate the delivery of SAP Costing / Controlling resources across multiple plant locations.

Manage project activities, timelines, milestones, risks, and dependencies.

Work closely with plant controllers, finance leadership, IT, and other stakeholders.

Facilitate status meetings and ensure actions and issues are followed through to resolution.

Support coordination of transaction analysis, cost allocation improvements, training, documentation, and hypercare activities.

Help keep the project on track around month-end close and other key finance deadlines.





Requirements:

Strong project management experience within Finance / Controlling environments.

Good understanding of SAP CO, Cost Center Accounting, product costing, and manufacturing finance processes.

Experience working directly with finance and accounting teams.

Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder-management skills.

Able to work independently and drive activities with minimal supervision.

English required; Spanish strongly preferred.

"A Controlling Champion who partners with plant controllers to clean vigente postings, validate cost center structures, categorize expenses, and drive complete cost center planning (KP06, KP26, KSU7, KSS4, KSPI etc.). The resource must also support COPA integration readiness and deliver training and documentation.

Mexico-based candidates preferred.
