Product Support Engineer (Java, Python, JavaScript)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Support Engineer with strong experience in Java, Python, and JavaScript to support and enhance business-critical applications and integrations.

The adecuado candidate will have hands-on experience in application support, troubleshooting, automation development, API integrations, production incident management, and operational support in enterprise environments. Experience in Media & Entertainment, Broadcast, OTT, or Media Asset Management (MAM) platforms such as Evertz MediatorX is highly desirable but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

Application Support

- Provide L2/L3 support for enterprise applications and integrated platforms.
- Monitor production environments and proactively identify potential issues.
- Troubleshoot application, workflow, integration, database, and API-related issues.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.
- Manage incidents, service requests, change requests, and problem management activities.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and business teams to resolve production issues.

Development & Automation
- Develop and maintain automation tools, utilities, and scripts using:

- Java
- Python
- JavaScript
- Automate operational processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Develop and support integrations using REST APIs and Web Services.
- Contribute to application enhancements, bug fixes, and process improvements.

Integration & Platform Support




- Support integrations with:

- Enterprise Applications
- APIs and Web Services
- Databases
- Cloud Platforms
- Messaging Systems
- Workflow Automation Tools
- Third-Party Vendor Applications
- Troubleshoot system integrations and data flow issues across platforms.

Operational Excellence

- Participate in on-call support rotations.
- Create and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and support documentation.
- Drive continuous service improvement initiatives.
- Support platform upgrades, deployments, patching, and release validation activities.

Required Technical Skills

Mandatory

- Strong hands-on experience in:

- Java
- Python
- JavaScript
- Experience with REST APIs and Web Services
- SQL and database troubleshooting
- Linux/Unix fundamentals
- Application support and production troubleshooting
- Log analysis and performance troubleshooting
- Incident Management and Problem Management experience
- Experience supporting enterprise applications in production environments

Nice to Have

- Experience with Media Asset Management (MAM) platforms
- Experience with Evertz MediatorX
- Broadcast, OTT, Streaming, or Digital Media industry experience
- Content ingest, transcoding, playout, or media workflow knowledge

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Application Support, Product Support, Production Support, or Platform Support.
- Experience in Media & Entertainment, Broadcast, OTT, or Digital Media environments is a plus.
