Job description:
We are seeking a HIL Validation Engineer with 3–4 years of experience in Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing and validation of automotive ECUs. The adecuado candidate will have hands-on experience with HIL platforms, test automation, and automotive communication protocols, supporting verification and validation activities throughout the product development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain HIL test cases for ECU validation.
- Perform functional, integration, and regression testing in HIL environments.
- Configure and maintain HIL systems using tools such as dSPACE, ETAS LABCAR, or NI VeriStand.
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and support root cause investigations.
- Create and automate test scripts using MATLAB/Simulink, Python, CAPL, or similar tools.
- Work closely with software, systems, and calibration teams to ensure requirements coverage and validation.
- Generate test reports and maintain validation documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in HIL testing, validation, or verification.
- Experience with HIL tools such as dSPACE, ETAS LABCAR, or NI VeriStand.
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink.
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols including CAN, LIN, FlexRay, or Automotive Ethernet.
- Experience using CANoe/CANalyzer or similar Vector tools.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ADAS, Powertrain, Body Controls, EV, or Chassis systems.
- Test automation experience using Python, CAPL, or MATLAB scripting.
- Familiarity with requirements management tools such as DOORS, Polarion, or JAMA.
- Understanding of ASPICE, ISO 26262, or automotive V-cycle development processes.
