Automotive CI/CD & Python Automation Engineer
Domain: Automotive ECU Embedded Software Continuous Integration and Toolchain Development
Role Overview
Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines, engineering automation tools, and software integration workflows for automotive ECU development. This role focuses on Python-based tooling, pipeline automation, AUTOSAR toolchain integration, automated testing, and build reliability to improve engineering efficiency and software quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Git Hub Actions, or similar platforms.
- Develop Python-based automation, reusable pipeline components, APIs, and tooling to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Integrate AUTOSAR toolchains and enable automated execution of configuration, code generation, build, test, and release workflows.
- Implement automated validation, regression testing, static analysis, and build verification within CI pipelines.
- Develop and support artifact management, dependency management, and containerized build environments using tools such as Conan, JFrog Artifactory, and Docker.
- Troubleshoot pipeline, tooling, build, and integration issues while collaborating with architecture, integration, and test teams.
Skills & Competency Requirements
Required Skills
- Strong Python programming and automation experience.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Git Hub Actions, or similar CI platforms.
- Experience integrating build, test, and quality verification workflows into CI pipelines.
- Experience supporting software development in Windows and Linux environments.
- Working knowledge of Git-based development workflows.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with AUTOSAR toolchains, including DaVinci Configurator or DaVinci Developer.
- Experience with Conan, JFrog Artifactory, Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud-based build environments.
- Understanding of ECU software integration workflows and embedded software development.
- Experience developing reusable CI/CD libraries, templates, or shared automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools used to improve software engineering productivity and automation.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in CI/CD pipeline development, software integration, build engineering, or related software development roles.
What Success Looks Like
First 30 Days
- Understand the CI/CD architecture, AUTOSAR workflows, Vector toolchain, Python automation framework, and existing build processes.
- Successfully execute and support current build and integration workflows.
First 60-90 Days
- Independently troubleshoot CI/CD and build issues.
- Implement enhancements to Python tooling and pipeline automation.
- Deliver measurable improvements to build reliability, automation, testing, and engineering efficiency.
