Payroll Administrator
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to take ownership of complex payroll processes and support a multi-location workforce.
This is a high-impact opportunity for a payroll professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving complex payroll challenges, and brings strong expertise in ADP Workforce Now, U.S. payroll compliance, payroll taxation, and variable compensation programs.
You will play a key role in ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time while supporting employees, partnering with cross-functional teams, and continuously improving payroll processes and controls.
What You’ll Do
- Process weekly, bi-weekly, and supplemental payrolls accurately and on schedule
- Manage and maintain employee payroll and compensation data in ADP Workforce Now
- Audit earnings, deductions, taxes, garnishments, benefits, and timekeeping information
- Review payroll reports, reconcile discrepancies, and resolve issues before payroll submission
- Administer commissions, bonuses, incentives, and performance-based compensation programs
- Calculate and validate sales commissions and operational incentive payouts
- Partner with Finance, Sales, HR, and operational leaders to verify compensation data
- Handle employee payroll inquiries professionally and efficiently
- Process rate changes, employment status updates, leave activity, and final pay calculations
- Maintain payroll earning codes, deduction codes, tax setups, and reporting structures within ADP
- Support payroll system testing, upgrades, implementations, and process improvements
- Process garnishments, tax levies, child support orders, and other payroll deductions
- Support year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and reconciliation
- Prepare payroll reports and analysis for Finance, HR, and leadership
- Support payroll audits, internal controls, and regulatory reporting
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll accuracy, efficiency, automation, and internal controls
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of hands-on payroll administration experience
- Advanced experience using ADP Workforce Now
- Experience administering complex payroll programs involving commissions, bonuses, incentives, or variable pay
- Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll taxation, wage and hour laws, and payroll compliance
- Experience reviewing and reconciling payroll data and resolving discrepancies
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle confidential employee and compensation information with discretion
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
