A fast-growing general medical technology company is seeking an experienced External Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead operational performance across a network of contract manufacturers and critical suppliers.

This role is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted supply, managing production and inventory performance, driving issue resolution, and leading cross-functional initiatives across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and Planning. The successful candidate will oversee supplier relationships, monitor operational KPIs, coordinate product transfers and capacity expansion activities, and serve as a key interface between external partners and internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in manufacturing operations, contract manufacturing management, supply chain execution, and continuous improvement within a regulated industry. Success in this role requires excellent leadership, analytical skills, stakeholder management, and the ability to drive results in a dynamic, high-growth environment.

Key Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field

- 6+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or external manufacturing environments

- Experience managing contract manufacturers and supplier performance

- Strong problem-solving, project management, and cross-functional leadership skills

- Experience within regulated industries such as Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, or other highly regulated manufacturing sectors

- Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement experience preferred
