Note: All candidates should have their tax situation certificate (Constancia de Siituación Fiscal) up to date with the salary regime to be eligible for the hiring process. Plan, coordinate, and execute industrial automation projects at Monterrey Plants, ensuring compliance with corporate standards and strategic objectives. Design and program electrical control systems using Allen‐Bradley Studio 5000 (ControlLogix/CompactLogix), including development of advanced routines, safety, and motion.
Integrate and program Yaskawa and Fanuc industrial robots, ensuring PLC‐Robot communication, calibration, cycle optimization, and functional safety. Manage and optimize SQL Server databases for traceability, reports, and industrial data analysis. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (technicians, contractors, support) for installation, testing, and project release.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, OT cybersecurity,
and internal policies, avoiding operational risks. Drive digitalization and Smart Connected Factory initiatives, integrating emerging technologies and IoT solutions. Manage technical documentation (schematics, I/O lists, manuals) and maintain version control in software and hardware.
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and maintenance areas to guarantee the functionality and reliability of automated systems. PLC – Allen-Bradley / Studio 5000 (ControlLogix/CompactLogix) Advanced level; 5+ years in programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Experience integrating welding/discrete manufacturing cells and fault diagnostics. Industrial robotics – Yaskawa & Fanuc. PLC–Robot interface via EtherNet/IP and deterministic handshakes. SCADA/IIoT – Ignition (Vision/Perspective) 3+ years developing screens, alarms, historian, roles/AD, and gateway scripting (Python).
On-prem/VM deployments, license administration, multi-instance project management. Databases – SQL Server Advanced level; 3+ years in industrial data modeling, stored procedures, optimized queries, basic ETL, and role-based security. SCADA/PLC ↔ SQL integration for traceability, OEE, and reporting.
Experience with OPC UA/DA, Kepware, MQTT (Sparkplug), EtherNet/IP network diagnostics, cell/area segmentation, and basic device hardening. Integration with corporate HMIs/SCADA and data transaction tools. Electrical controls design and documentation Reading/updating schematics, I/O lists, alarm matrices, and FAT/SAT testing.
Use of AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN (intermediate+).
Technical leadership and project management 3+ years coordinating technicians and contractors, commissioning planning, control of changes, standardization, and plant user training. Effective communication with Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, Safety, and IT.
Functional safety and corporate practices Design and validation of safety circuits, interlocks, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and compliance with internal software policies (version control, backup, traceability).
Technical
English for documentation, general collaboration, and vendor support.
Experience in Rockwell HMI (FactoryTalk View SE) and/or Siemens WinCC for development and maintenance of graphical interfaces. Advanced knowledge of industrial protocols (EtherNet/IP, Profinet, OPC UA) and integration tools such as Kepware.
Experience in AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN for electrical design and documentation. Knowledge of OT cybersecurity, industrial network segmentation, and hardening policies.
Experience in corporate OEE, traceability, and data preparation for MES/ERP systems. Desirable certifications in Rockwell Automation, Fanuc, Yaskawa, Ignition, and SQL Server.
Skills in managing complex projects, including planning, change control, and global coordination.
Advanced
English for technical communication and collaboration with international teams. Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
