Position: Network Operations Analyst with Solarwinds/Cisco/VMware

Location: 100% Remote (12hrs Shift, 4days a week - 48hrs weekly)

Visa Status: Independent Consultant

Duration: 6+ Months (Will be a Long Term Contract or CTH)

The objective is to establish a team of three resources to collectively provide continuous 24x7 monitoring coverage. We are looking for consultants capable of supporting both Network Operations Monitoring and Server/Infrastructure Monitoring activities.

Candidates from Mexico, Panama, Colombia, Costa Rica, Brazil, Bolivia or other low cost countries within the region. Mexico is prime interest at this time.

Consultants must cover a 12-hour shift, 4 days per week (48 hours weekly). The shift must align with Central Time (or a similar time zone) and provide coverage from approximately 08:00 to 20:00 or 09:00 to 21:00.

Key Required Capabilities

Network Monitoring

LAN, WAN, Internet, VPN, firewall, and ISP connectivity monitoring.

Monitoring and basic troubleshooting of routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless controllers, and network links.

Investigation of connectivity, latency, packet loss, bandwidth utilization, and routing-related alerts.

Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and switching concepts.





Experience with technologies such as Cisco, Fortinet, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP/VRRP, and VPN platforms.

Familiarity with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Zabbix, Wireshark, or equivalent.

Incident management and escalation through ServiceNow or comparable ITSM platforms.

Server & Infrastructure Monitoring

Monitoring of Windows and Linux servers across physical and virtual environments.

Monitoring of CPU, memory, disk utilization, services, and operating system health.

Experience with VMware, storage infrastructure, backup environments, and related monitoring activities.

Familiarity with monitoring tools such as SCOM, SolarWinds, Zabbix, HPE OneView, or equivalent.

Basic PowerShell scripting and troubleshooting capabilities.

Incident handling, escalation management, and documentation through ServiceNow or similar platforms.

Operating Model

24x7 monitoring service supported through rotating shifts.

3 analysts working standard 8-hour shifts according to an agreed rotation schedule.

Remote work

Focus on alert monitoring, triage, incident creation, escalation management, shift handovers, and proactive communication
