Role Description The Portuguese Teacher will deliver engaging, learner-centered Portuguese lessons to business professionals, aligned with BE School’s communicative and personalized teaching philosophy. This part-time, online role in Mexico City, Mexico involves planning and delivering classes, designing context-based activities, and integrating business-related scenarios to build students’ confidence in spoken and written Portuguese. The teacher will assess language needs, monitor progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt materials to individual and group goals.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining clear communication with students and staff, contributing to curriculum refinement, and supporting a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages professional growth.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including clear verbal expression,



active listening, and culturally aware interpersonal interaction.
- Candidates should possess Education and Teaching skills, such as lesson planning, classroom management, and outcome-focused instruction.
- Candidates should possess Language Teaching skills, including experience teaching Portuguese as a foreign or second language and knowledge of language acquisition principles.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills, demonstrating professionalism, responsiveness, and a learner-centered mindset in all student interactions.
- Native or near-native proficiency in Portuguese; strong command of English and Spanish is highly beneficial.
- Relevant teaching certification or degree in Education, Languages, Linguistics, or a related field preferred.
- Experience teaching adult learners or business professionals, ideally in corporate or professional training environments.
- Ability to design engaging, context-based activities and adapt materials to different proficiency levels and professional backgrounds.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and ability to collaborate with colleagues in a multicultural setting.
