The Production
Supervisor is responsible for leading the safe, efficient and effective operation of a manufacturing area, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, delivery, cost and people management. The role provides frontline leadership to production teams and drives a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and operational excellence. Lead and supervise daily production activities within the assigned manufacturing area.
Manage production teams to achieve daily, weekly and monthly production targets. Conduct daily performance reviews and tier meetings. Monitor safety, quality, delivery and productivity KPIs and drive corrective actions where required.
Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and manufacturing standards. Support recruitment, onboarding and training of production employees. Lead performance management, coaching and employee development activities.
Ensure customer quality requirements are consistently achieved. Lead containment and response activities for quality issues. Work closely with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance and Supply Chain teams to resolve operational issues.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, safety and cost reduction. Ensure effective communication and handover between shifts. Maintain high housekeeping and 5S standards throughout the production area.
Participate in root cause investigations for safety, quality and production incidents. Ensure production records and inventory system transactions are completed accurately. Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management or related discipline preferred.
Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
Experience leading teams in a high-volume production environment. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems and health and safety requirements. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
Proficiency in production reporting and KPI management. Delivery of production schedules and customer requirements. Achievement of quality, scrap and productivity targets. Successful completion of training and development plans.
This is a core operational leadership role responsible for delivering day-to-day manufacturing performance while developing people and building a culture of safety, accountability and operational excellence.
