AM TechWorks is opening applications for a 3-month, remote Software Engineering Fellowship designed for someone who wants hands-on experience building, shipping, and maintaining real technology.

We're not looking for someone who already knows everything.

We're looking for someone who's curious, dependable, willing to learn, and excited to build.

? Fellowship Details

? Location: Remote

? Duration: 3 months

⏱️ Commitment: 30–35 hours/week

? Stipend: $200 USD every two weeks

We understand that some applicants may be balancing school or existing work, so flexibility can be discussed during the application process.

Strong performance may lead to consideration for a full-time position or continued paid opportunities with AM TechWorks after the fellowship, depending on company needs, performance, and growth.

What You'll Work On

You'll collaborate directly on AM TechWorks' internal technology, including our website, landing pages, new features, and development infrastructure.

You'll gain hands-on exposure to:

→ Front-end development with React & JavaScript/TypeScript

→ Back-end development with Python

→ Websites & web applications

→ APIs & third-party integrations

→ Git & GitHub workflows

→ CI/CD pipelines & deployments

→ Databases

→ Testing & debugging

→ Maintaining production applications

→ Technical documentation

As AM TechWorks takes on new projects, there may also be opportunities to contribute to ongoing and client-facing work and gain experience working with real requirements and deliverables.

Because we're a growing startup, you'll also get a look at what happens beyond the code. Occasionally, you may help with research, data organization, content updates, marketing support, and other AM TechWorks operations.

This Is a Learning-First Fellowship

You won't be expected to walk in as an experienced software engineer.

You'll receive mentorship, feedback, and responsibilities appropriate for your experience level. As you grow, so will the complexity of the work you're trusted with.

Our goal is for you to leave with real things you've built, real development experience, and a stronger understanding of how software goes from idea → development → deployment.

We're a growing startup, and we want to be transparent about that.

We know unpaid internships and fellowships exist, but we don't believe your time and contributions should be valued at $0.

We're not yet in a position to offer the compensation of an established technology company, so this opportunity currently includes a $200 USD stipend every two weeks.

In return, our commitment is to teach, mentor, provide meaningful hands-on work, and make sure you're here to learn — not simply to fill a seat.
