Dev Ops / Cloud Engineer – Systematic Commodities Hedge Fund Moreton Capital Partners (MCP) is a CFTC regulated systematic, technology-first investment manager trading across commodities, alternative markets, and emerging data-rich asset classes. We are building and scaling infrastructure supporting trading, research, data, and internal systems, and are hiring a Dev Ops Engineer to help support and improve it. About the Role We are seeking a hands-onDev Ops Engineer to work closely with the engineering team across cloud infrastructure, automation, deployment, monitoring, and production reliability. Our stack includes AWS, Terraform, Git Hub Actions, Docker, Aurora/Postgre SQL, Redis, Datadog, Airflow, and Python. The role is idóneo for someone with strong Linux and AWS fundamentals who enjoys troubleshooting systems, automating repetitive work, and improving how infrastructure is built and operated. Cloud & Infrastructure Build and maintain infrastructure across AWS, including ECS, EC2, S3, VPC, Cloud Front, WAF, and ALB Manage infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code Support Docker-based production and development environments Help improve infrastructure reliability, security,



and performance Automation & Deployment Build and maintain CI/CD workflows using Git Hub Actions Use Python and shell scripting to automate operational and infrastructure tasks Support deployment processes and troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues Help improve engineering workflows and reduce manual processes Monitoring & Data Infrastructure Monitor applications and infrastructure using Datadog Support Aurora/Postgre SQL, Redis, and Airflow environments Help improve logging, monitoring, alerting, and production visibility Investigate infrastructure and application issues across Linux, networking, databases, and AWS Strong knowledge of AWS Strong Linux skills Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code Strong Python scripting skills Experience with Docker Understanding of CI/CD and Git Hub Actions Good networking fundamentals Familiarity with Postgre SQL and Redis Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications AWS certification Experience with ECS, EC2, Cloud Front, WAF, and ALB Familiarity with Datadog and Apache Airflow Experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or similar tools in an engineering workflow Claude / Anthropic training or certification Interest in financial markets, trading systems, or fintech Who Thrives Here The best candidates are curious, resourceful, technically strong, and comfortable taking ownership.
