About the job
Responsible for calculating federal taxes (VAT, IT and withholdings) and making sure taxes are paid in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with tax obligations.

Tax Compliance and Reporting: Preparation and timely filing of monthly and annual tax returns, including VAT, Income Tax, Withholding Taxes, DIOT and electronic accounting requirements.

Tax Payments and Reconciliations: Calculation of monthly tax liabilities, preparation of supporting workpapers, and reconciliation between accounting records and tax returns.

Tax Refunds and Tax Authority Requirements: Preparation and follow-up of tax refund claims, as well as support in responding to information requests from tax authorities.

Tax Audits and Support:



Support the Tax Coordinator in handling and following up on external audits, including the preparation and collection of required information.

Tax Control and Regulatory Compliance: Monitor tax deadlines, changes in tax laws and regulations, SAT product/service classifications, and maintain supporting documentation for tax compliance.

Cross-functional Tax Support and Collaboration: Participate in and provide support on tax matters with Finance, Accounting, HR, Operations and other departments, following the guidelines established by the Tax Coordinator.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

2 - 3 years of experience in Mexican tax compliance.

Knowledge of VAT, Income Tax, Withholding Taxes, DIOT and electronic accounting requirements.

Experience preparing tax calculations, anual income tax, reconciliations, supporting workpapers and VAT refunds.

Knowledge of SAT requirements and tax compliance procedures.

Strong analytical, organizational and attention-to-detail skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with Finance, Accounting, HR, Operations and other departments.

Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.

Experience supporting VAT refund claims and tax authority information requests.

Experience supporting external tax audits.

Previous experience in a multinational or manufacturing environment.

Intermediate English proficiency, both written and spoken.

Knowledge of SAT product and service classification codes.
