Job Description Primary Function of Position
Equipment engineers may evaluate, inspect, maintain, repair, design, analyze and improve various types of equipment, including electronic and mechanical equipment. EE may have to work in different areas, such as electrical, mechanical or computer engineering.
In addition to P2 Level:
Design of experiments to determine best parameters for equipment operation.
Create Fixtures and Tools defining requirements, specifications, design,
and operation in compliance with company procedures Create Equipment Qualification Protocols like IQOQ
Interface with other engineering groups for implementation of equipment related updates.
Document Equipment Events with impact to product assembled, like Out of Tolerance and similar events
Interface with other engineering groups for implementation of equipment related updates.
Document Equipment Events with impact to product assembled, like Out of Tolerance and similar events, perform risk analysis for equipment related issues
Control equipment tools as well as costs.
Report manufacturing equipment performance including equipment events, downtime, and issues
Review and/or approve ECOs to determine impact on manufacturing and field perspective.
Qualifications Required Skills and Experience
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated mechanical electronics aptitude.
Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting complex electronic/mechanical equipment.
Blueprint reading and interpretation is a must.
Knowledge and experience in use of special mechanical, electronics and measuring equipment.
Minimum 5-year experience work experience as Equipment Engineer, Test Engineer, Automation Engineer, Tooling, Mechatronic or similar.
Strong communications skills across team organizations and cultures.
Required Education and Training
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electronics Engineering or similar.

Preferred Skills and Experience
Previous experience Maintenance software database preferable.
Familiarity with regulated Quality Systems or medical device regulations, a plus.
