Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: Preeschool Teacher Aide

REPORTS TO: PreeschoolCoordinator

QUALIFICATIONS:

Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field.
Internship experience in early childhood settings preferred.
Experience working with children ages 3–5 is an asset.
Full professional fluency in English required.
Patient, nurturing, and attentive to children’s needs.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Assist the Preschool Teacher in implementing daily classroom activities and routines.
Support supervision of students during instructional time, transitions, recess, arrival, and dismissal.
Help maintain a safe, organized, and clean classroom environment.
Provide individual or small group support to students as directed by the teacher.
Reinforce classroom rules and positive behavior strategies.




Assist in preparing instructional materials and classroom resources.
Support students in developing independence, self-regulation, and social skills.
Observe and report student concerns or progress to the Preschool Teacher.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

Participate in required meetings and professional development sessions.
Maintain confidentiality of student and school information.
Follow all health, safety, and safeguarding protocols.
Support school events and activities when required.
