What you'll do

Drive production hardening of the current proof-of-concept — code quality, performance optimization, and reliability improvements

Establish foundational infrastructure and architectural patterns (pipeline architecture, logging, configuration management, error handling)

Develop and evolve the web user interface, ensuring usability and alignment with our engineering standards

Build and maintain backend services and APIs that support the tagging workflow

Work with XHTML and XML processing, integrating with internal reporting systems to handle input data and generate compliant XBRL packages

Collaborate with the R&D; team to understand AI tagging improvements and surface engineering requirements

Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and production support

What you'll bring

7+ years of software development experience, with demonstrated expertise building production systems

Hands-on experience developing Python-based document processing pipelines (parsing, transformation, and metadata extraction from structured and semi-structured documents)

Experience building AI-powered applications with Large Language Models — integrating and orchestrating them in production, including prompt engineering, workflow orchestration, error handling, and result evaluation

Experience building web applications and REST APIs

Familiarity with XML, XHTML, and data transformation pipelines





Strong problem-solving skills and comfort with ambiguity in early-stage products

Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams

Bonus points: XBRL, financial compliance or regulatory reporting; investment company operations and SEC filing requirements; Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG); modern web frameworks and full-stack development; scaling systems and performance optimization
