Description: An Aerospace Entry Level Engineer is available at Belcan in Querétaro, México, supporting aerospace engineering programs. This is a full-time position with benefits.

We are seeking a Mechanical/Aerospace Design Engineer with solid engineering fundamentals and basic-to-intermediate knowledge of aerospace product development, and desirable having knowledge of manufacturing processes and field/service findings.

The adecuado candidate will have the ability to support mechanical design activities, interpret engineering requirements and drawings, perform basic engineering calculations, and contribute to the development and improvement of aerospace hardware.

The engineer will support multiple projects and collaborate with design, stress, materials, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and test organizations.

The position provides an opportunity to develop engineering experience while working under the guidance of experienced engineers and contributing to multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Job Duties

- Support the development and evaluation of mechanical designs for aircraft engine components and systems, including engine external hardware such as brackets, ducts, tubes, hoses, harnesses, supports, and other mechanical components.
- Support product development activities from requirements definition and conceptual design through preliminary design, detailed design, manufacturing, assembly, and testing.
- Support the development and evaluation of design concepts considering functionality, structural integrity, durability, weight, producibility, maintainability, cost, and schedule.
- Perform and/or support basic mechanical engineering analyses and hand calculations, including static strength, stiffness, load paths, thermal effects, fastener joints, bearing/bushing interfaces, and tolerance effects.
- Support the evaluation of mechanical interfaces, including clearances, fits, tolerances, joints, attachment features, and assembly conditions.
- Apply basic Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T;) principles and perform basic dimensional and tolerance stack-up evaluations.
- Support material and manufacturing process evaluations based on mechanical performance, operating environment, durability, producibility, and cost.
- Support the incorporation of manufacturing and inspection requirements into product definition, drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
- Apply basic Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA),



producibility, and maintainability principles.
- Support manufacturing and supplier organizations in resolving design and process-related issues.
- Participate and support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities related to mechanical failures, nonconformances, manufacturing issues, and field/service findings.
- Participate and support engineering investigations involving dimensional discrepancies, material/process deviations, wear, deformation, cracking, fatigue, and component damage.
- Prepare and update engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, technical reports, presentations, and design review material.
- Communicate technical information effectively to internal engineering teams and cross-functional organizations.
- Collaborate to project execution by tracking assigned activities, identifying and reporting technical issues and risks as needed.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor"s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Zero to three years of engineering experience, preferably in aircraft engine, turbomachinery, aerospace, automotive or other mechanical products.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals, including:
- Statics and mechanics of materials
- Strength of materials
- Basic stress and structural concepts
- Load paths and structural loading
- Basic fatigue and durability concepts
- Thermal effects and thermal expansion
- Mechanical joints and fasteners
- Fits, clearances, and interfaces
- Basic materials and material selection

- Experience supporting mechanical design and/or engineering analysis activities.
- Working knowledge of GD&T;, engineering drawings, tolerance stack-ups, and dimensional requirements.
- Basic-to-intermediate knowledge of manufacturing and inspection processes, such as machining, casting, forging, sheet metal fabrication, welding/brazing, composite manufacturing, additive manufacturing, and/or assembly processes.
- Ability to understand the relationship between design requirements, materials, manufacturing processes, inspection methods, and component performance.




- Ability to perform basic engineering calculations and apply engineering principles to solve technical problems.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, requirements, specifications, manufacturing documentation, and inspection data.
- Ability to support engineering problem-solving activities, including root cause analysis and design/process improvement.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to engineering and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment and seek guidance when required.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

- Experience with commercial aircraft engines manufacturers or other gas turbine engine products.
- Experience with engine externals, turbomachinery structures, mechanical systems, or rotating/static engine hardware.
- Familiar with Teamcenter, TcVis/Mockup, Siemens NX, and ANSYS (APDL and Workbench).
- Basic experience with structural analysis and finite element analysis (FEA).
- Familiar with configuration management, product lifecycle management (PLM), and engineering change processes.
- Experience working with suppliers and manufacturing organizations.
- Familiar with MRB, non-conformance disposition, RCCA, and engineering investigations.
- Basic knowledge of aerospace standards, specifications, and certification requirements.
- Basic experience with design reviews, technical presentations, and customer-facing engineering activities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing technical requirements and priorities.
- Demonstrated interest in developing technical expertise and progressively taking on greater engineering responsibility.
- Seek appropriate guidance when required.
