What you'll do

- Drive production hardening of the current proof-of-concept — code quality, performance optimization, and reliability improvements
- Establish foundational infrastructure and architectural patterns (pipeline architecture, logging, configuration management, error handling)
- Develop and evolve the web user interface, ensuring usability and alignment with our engineering standards
- Build and maintain backend services and APIs that support the tagging workflow
- Work with XHTML and XML processing, integrating with internal reporting systems to handle input data and generate compliant XBRL packages
- Collaborate with the R&D; team to understand AI tagging improvements and surface engineering requirements
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and production support

What you'll bring

- 7+ years of software development experience, with demonstrated expertise building production systems
- Hands-on experience developing Python-based document processing pipelines (parsing, transformation, and metadata extraction from structured and semi-structured documents)
- Experience building AI-powered applications with Large Language Models — integrating and orchestrating them in production, including prompt engineering, workflow orchestration, error handling, and result evaluation
- Experience building web applications and REST APIs
- Familiarity with XML, XHTML, and data transformation pipelines




- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort with ambiguity in early-stage products
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
- Bonus points: XBRL, financial compliance or regulatory reporting; investment company operations and SEC filing requirements; Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG); modern web frameworks and full-stack development; scaling systems and performance optimization
