Role OverviewResponsible for managing the full piping scope (fabrication and installation), ensuring safe, on-time, and compliant execution in large-scale industrial projects such as ammonia, methanol, and petrochemical plants.
This is a highly operational, site-driven role.
Key ResponsibilitiesScope ManagementManage all piping activities: spool definition, fabrication (on/off-site), and installation
Define critical lines, system sequences, and work fronts
Planning & ControlWeekly planning and 4-week lookahead
Ensure material and resource availability
Monitor productivity (fabrication and erection)
Track progress, costs, and schedule
Team & Subcontractor ManagementCoordinate piping supervisors
Manage subcontractors in terms of performance, quality, safety, and contractual compliance
Lead coordination meetings
Quality & ComplianceEnsure compliance with codes and standards (ASME, API, etc.)
Control inspections, welding, traceability, and NDT
Review reports and payment applications
Interfaces & ReportingCoordinate with engineering, construction,
commissioning, and HSE teams
Handle RFIs and technical queries
Report to the Mechanical Site Manager
HSE (Safety)Enforce safety procedures
Ensure proper lifting and material handling plans
Promote a strong safety culture
RequirementsEducationBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
ExperienceMinimum 5 years in similar roles
Strong experience in piping fabrication and erection
Petrochemical project experience is preferred
Technical SkillsMaterials: Carbon steel, alloy steel (P11, P22, P91), stainless steel, HDPE, GRP
Codes and standards: ASME, API
LanguagesEnglish is mandatory
Spanish, Portuguese, French, or German are a plus
