this is what you will do in this role:
- performs full range of standard work for the professional field.
- ensure otd by leading or designing mechanical drawings such as: header steel (structural elements) layouts, composites, safety, pneumatic, guarding, netting, etc.
- ensure quality audits, support cross audits and revisions to peers and/or less experienced engineers deliverables.
- solve and refers complex unusual problems to others with more seniority.
- communicate, solve and track progress status to peers, project leads and managers. Able to remove roadblocks.
- takes responsibility and executes improvements that impact directly productivity and customer satisfaction.
- identifies and resolves more complex problems and applies problem-solving skills in order to deal with most situations.
- identify needs and create documents, material and/or solving problems references (trouble shooting)
for less experienced engineers.
- able to coordinate a small team of engineers in technical execution. Budget management.
- travel on site might be required. Low but feasible opportunities to travel across a number of our customer locations in order to fulfill the work requirements. Using prescribed guidelines and policies.
what we are looking for:
- bachelor's degree - mechanical or civil engineering or any other related to mechanical design field
- background in material handling/automation industry, preferred.
- 1-3 years of successful experience in related field.
- applied knowledge of cad software (autocad, solidworks, etc.) and technical drawings.
- applied knowledge of inventor software and or structural design.
- effectively uses fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization. (fea).
