We are looking for a
Software Engineer with experience in Uni Data, Multi Value databases, and BASIC programming languages
to contribute to the maintenance, enhancement, and modernization of enterprise
Payroll and HR software products.
As a key member of the Engineering team, you will work on business-critical applications deployed across
Saa S, mobile, and on-premises environments. The role involves software development, debugging, troubleshooting, application modernization, and continuous improvements to system reliability and scalability.
You will also leverage modern
AI-assisted engineering tools such as Git Hub Copilot and Claude Code
to accelerate development, improve code quality, enhance system understanding, and optimize engineering workflows.
The idóneo candidate has hands-on experience with
Uni Data or related Multi Value technologies , strong programming fundamentals, and the ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering, QA, Product Management, Customer Support, and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities Develop, maintain, debug, and enhance applications using
Uni Data BASIC / Multi Value BASIC.
Use development, editing, and debugging tools to identify and resolve software issues.
Maintain and enhance existing
Payroll and HR software applications.
Use
AI-assisted coding tools , such as Git Hub Copilot and Claude Code, to accelerate development and improve engineering workflows.
Collaborate with QA Engineers to ensure application
quality, functionality, reliability, and performance.
Troubleshoot complex issues across multiple application tiers.
Identify and resolve technical problems proactively while escalating issues when additional support is required.
Continuously improve the
reliability, maintainability, performance, and scalability
of existing applications.
Participate actively in
Agile software development teams.
Contribute to and, when appropriate, lead priority
R&D; and technical improvement initiatives.




Develop deep expertise across multiple areas of the product, its underlying technologies, architecture, and design patterns.
Build and consume
RESTful web services and APIs.
Collaborate closely with
Software Engineers, QA, Product Management, Customer Support , and other cross-functional teams.
Manage development priorities and deliver assigned work within established deadlines.
Apply software engineering best practices, including
Unit Testing and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
Requisitos
Hands-on experience with
Uni Data or related Multi Value database technologies.
Experience programming with
Uni Data BASIC, Multi Value BASIC , or strong experience with a comparable BASIC language that enables rapid adoption.
Solid software development, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
Experience developing and maintaining enterprise software applications.
Experience building and consuming
REST APIs / web services.
Knowledge of
Java Script, Java, and HTML5/CSS.
Experience working with
Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.
Knowledge of
Unit Testing and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to troubleshoot issues across different application layers.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across Engineering, QA, Product Management, and Customer Support teams.
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet project deadlines.
Proactive mindset with the ability to identify when technical assistance or escalation is required.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with
SB (System Builder)+ or other 4 GL technologies.
Additional programming experience with
Java, Scala, Java Script , or similar languages.
Experience using
AI-assisted software development tools , particularly
Git Hub Copilot and/or Claude Code.
Previous experience developing or supporting
Payroll, Human Resources (HR), or Accounting software.
Experience working with
Saa S and/or on-premises enterprise applications.
