ROLE SUMMARY
This position is responsible for overseeing compliance with international Ship and port facility code (ISPS code) according to conference of contracting Governments to the Convention.
JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
• Promotion of safety awareness on the unit. • Safe working practices are understood and carried out by all on board. • Non-compliance is promptly acted on and reported to the direct supervisor. • Supervising arrivals and departures of helicopters and vessels, implementing, and maintaining the ship security plan on the rig. • Conducting security inspections at regular intervals of time to ensure that proper security steps are taken. • Execute, supervising and maintaining the ship security plan on the rig. • Coordinate the security aspects of the cargo handling and ship stores with other shipboard personnel and security officers of the relevant port facility. • Propose modifications to the ship security plan. • Report to Company Security Officer (CSO) of any deficiencies and non-conformities identified during internal audits, periodic inspections, security inspections and verifications of compliance and implementing any corrective actions. • Raise the level of awareness and vigilance on board.
• Report all incidents that affect ship security. • Coordinate the implementation of ship security plan with CSO and PFSO. • Ensure that the ship security equipment is properly functioning, tested, calibrated, and maintained. • Responsibility for their own personal safety and the safety of all those which fall under their direct supervision. • Assist to OIM on good communication and coordination during drills, emergency situations on Emergency Operation center (Radio Room) as per risk ATLAS. • Maintain updated POB, logbooks, T-cards. • Any other matters as deemed necessary by Company Management.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Preferably a bachelor's degree: High school degree or equivalent. Merchant Marine Graduate is desirable. • Years of experience: 3 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably 2 years in the position. • Experience on Interpretation of Laws, Codes and Maritime Regulations National and International.
SKILLS / ABILITIES • Computer skills. • Excellent interpersonal skills. • Able to work independently and as a team player. • Fluent English desirable. • As per company training directives.
