Inside Sales Representative (Aerospace)

Location: Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico

Department: Inside Sales

Reports to: Inside Sales Manager

Status: Non-Exempt

Position Purpose / Summary

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth, protecting margin, and ensuring contractual and regulatory compliance across assigned aerospace accounts. The role ensures that customer requirements are clearly defined, thoroughly reviewed, accurately communicated, and fully executed in accordance with AS9100 quality management system requirements and company policies.

As the commercial owner of assigned accounts, this position manages contract review, disciplined margin execution, quote-to-order compliance, customer retention, risk mitigation, and long-term revenue development.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Contract & Requirement Review

- Review RFQs, contracts, and flow-downs for feasibility and compliance.
- Validate alignment between customer requirements and internal capabilities.
- Identify and escalate special quality or regulatory clauses.
- Ensure accurate documentation of requirements in ERP and CRM.
- Confirm pricing structures meet approved margin thresholds.

2. Revenue Growth & Account Development

- Manage assigned accounts to increase revenue and share of wallet.
- Identify cross-sell and alternative sourcing opportunities.
- Develop annual account plans with measurable goals.
- Support long-term agreement (LTA) negotiations.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.

3. Pricing, Quoting & Margin Management

- Prepare competitive, compliant quotations within required timelines.




- Apply margin strategy and approval matrices.
- Monitor quote conversion ratios and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accuracy of pricing and contractual data in ERP.
- Make commercially sound decisions to protect profitability.

4. Cross-Functional Coordination

- Collaborate with Customer Service for seamless order execution.
- Work with Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to resolve issues.
- Escalate risks impacting delivery performance.
- Participate in internal account reviews and performance meetings.

5. Performance Monitoring & Reporting

- Maintain accurate CRM pipeline and forecasting.
- Track monthly performance versus quota.
- Monitor customer KPIs (OTD, quality, revenue, margin).
- Support management reviews with accurate reporting.

6. Team Partnership & Professional Conduct

- Act as a collaborative partner to CSRs, supporting joint success.
- Contribute positively to cross-functional teamwork.
- Demonstrate professional conduct and accountability.

Minimum Qualifications (MUST-HAVE)

Education & Experience

- AS9100 certification (Lead Auditor, Implementer, or equivalent) – REQUIRED
- High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 3+ years in aerospace B2B or distribution sales.
- Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Knowledge Requirements

- Aerospace fastener market and OEM structures
- Contract review principles under AS9100
- ERP systems (SAP preferred) and CRM platforms
- Intermediate–advanced Excel
