Ohana Design Services is a vibrant, multi-cultural boutique entity focused on high-end residential resort design. The function of the position we are seeking is to manage all aspects of planning, coordination and execution of our interior architecture design projects. Using in-depth knowledge of design principles, concepts and best practices, we are looking for an individual who will create complete project plans and then manage the execution of the projects ensuring efficient, accurate, and on-budget implementation. Qualified individuals must be 100% proficient in English, have a design solution-centered focus, and have the innate ability to multi-task.
Role and Responsibilities:
· Interact with Client or Director of Design Services to understand and/or define project scope
· Prepare physical and digital presentation materials for Client meetings
· Analyze, guide and confirm space and design planning for the successful implementation of interior design solutions
· Manage budget preparation to include quoting, pricing, negotiation, data entry and proposal generation
· Ensure design agreement and client proposals are fully executed before work plan is initiated
· Set overall project plan as it relates to supplier collaboration, work schedules and installation
· Adhere to set internal deadlines to include Studio Designer time entry, client project reports, and internal project reporting
· Monitor the status of all project purchase orders to ensure an on-time and on-budget installation
· Conduct site visits to identify areas that need verification and coordinate presente dimensions with final plan
· Manage and direct all subcontractors to enforce project goals and deadlines
· Coordinate, schedule, and attend client meetings with Director of Design Services,
and prepare and distribute required updates to project workplan
· Document all aspects of design process and file data according to departmental standards
· Coordinate and collaborate with internal departments to ensure installation standards
· Manage and direct project installation(s)
· Attend continuing education related courses to stay abreast of new product, design solutions and industry trends
Requirements:
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· 4+ years of experience in managing luxury residential interior design projects
· Bachelor's Degree in interior design, architecture or related field
· Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
· 100% proficiency in Microsoft Office
· 100% proficiency in AutoCAD
· 100% proficiency in English
Preferred Skills
· Proficiency of Sketchup, InDesign, or Photoshop
· Proficiency in Studio Designer or comparable interior design management software
· Ability to effectively meet deadlines
· Ability to manage multiple projects
· Proven organizational and follow-through skills
· Excellent interpersonal skills, and enjoys being part of the team
· Ability to work in a team environment while taking responsibility for the outcome of the project
· Ability to understand and execute directives in a clear, concise and timely manner
· Ability to break down processes into simple manageable tasks
· Ability to remain focused to self-direct and delegate day-to-day tasks to achieve departmental goals
