!Quality Technician / Metrology (afternoon shift)This is a hands-on position that works on the manufacturing floor and in the quality lab to support Quality Inspection requirements in support of the company's Quality System.Functions:- Performs quality test, inspection and verification of:Incoming material.Outside vendor-processed material.In-process production parts.Finished productsNew products (NPIs)- Uses a variety of measurement tools for inspection, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators, etc.- Maintains necessary quality certification records.
- Assist with resolution of Corrective and Preventive Actions.




- Assists with PPAPs, APQP, FMEAs and Control Plans and tracks progress through the approval process.
- Conducts internal and external audits as assigned by the Quality Manager or QMS coordinator.
- Communicates frequently with Production, Engineering, Purchasing and Customer Service regarding quality issues and updates.
- Coordinates and monitors metrology tool calibration and verification program for internal and customer provided tools and fixtures.
**Requirements**:- 5+ years of experience in quality inspection, working with metal formed parts, preferably for the automotive industry.
- Live close to the work area.
